Wedgwood Academy is now participating in the Angel Food Ministry Program. This food program benefits families in our community and our school. A portion of the sales from each box sold goes directly to our school. Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The program began in 1994 in Munroe, Georgia and now serves 32 states each month.
The monthly food box retails for at least $50.00 and is a combination of fresh and frozen items. The food contents of the boxes changes monthly. This food is the same high quality food you purchase from your local grocery store. There are no second hand items, no out of date items, no dented cans without labels, no day old bread, or food that is almost too ripe to eat. Angel Food Ministries has contracts with many national food distributors to provide food to serve the community. The contents of the box will assist in feeding a family of four for 1 week or a single person for almost a month. Specialty boxes are also offered each month. You must purchase the regular monthly box to be able to purchase a specialty box. Specialty boxes contain food items such as steaks, chicken, and pork.
Everyone is eligible to purchase the food boxes. There is not limit to the number of regular boxes and specialty boxes you may order each month.
All orders must be paid by cash, money order, or cashiers check. You will receive a receipt that you will need to bring on delivery day and present to a volunteer who will then have your order pulled and loaded in your vehicle. Pickup day is the last Saturday of the month between 8:00AM and 9:00AM unless this day falls on a holiday(delivery time will then change-contact us for info). Please note that if you do not pick up your order on the delivery date during the designated hours, it will be considered a donation.
